Half Day riding single track over the Penwith Moors along the ancient Tinner's Trail to Men-an-Tol.
Taking in the stunning wilderness of the quiet and undiscovered Penwith Moors. From St Ives it is a short ride by back lanes before we head off road on the ancient Tinner’s Way. Climbing up onto a relatively flat moorland plateau, the tracks up here are predominantly single-track and can be technical in places, the lack of steep descents on this route make it is very easy to hike a bike if any sections prove too challenging. We explore deep into the Moors taking in the ancient site of Men-an- Tol and the stunning coastal views from Watch Croft. The off road trails here are varied and can include the thrilling descent down from Watch Croft. The off road trails on the Penwith Moors include singletrack, doubletrack and a small amount of quiet country lanes. Outside of winter thanks to the natural bedrock the tracks hold up well, however during and after a prolonged wet period they can get very muddy and wet. In dry periods, parts of the singletrack can get rutted. Please feel free to discuss with us the suitability of these tours prior to booking.
