All Routes / Godrevy Gambol
Easy going 12 mile round trip from St Ives to Hayle.
A great option for an easier ride on regular bikes or electric bikes, with only modest hills.
Grab a pasty from the famous Philps bakery in Hayle or extend your ride to Sandy Acres Cafe on the dunes.
This route primarily takes quiet lanes and cycle paths to Hayle. However there is an unavoidable stretch on the busy 30mph road through Carbis Bay. There are also some moderate hilly sections, so if considering this route for a family ride on regular bikes, we would recommended this is suitable only for strong and confident cyclists.
You can extend easily riding along the traffic free King George V Memorial Trail and the back roads to Sandy Acres for stunning views on top of the dunes over the bay (and another great cafe here).
